This year’s Tom Powers Yearling Sale catalog has now been released and it includes 76 horses that represent some of the best bloodlines in the pleasure industry today.
Starting with Lot#1, Shez The Good Kind, a bay filly, sired by National Snaffle Bit Association Hall of Fame and AQHA Leading Performance sire Zippos Mr Good Bar and out of The Good Kind, earner of 55 performance points and ending with Lot #76, Huntin Sweet Spices, a gray filly by Huntin For Chocolate and out of Sweet Talkin Spice, the sale is the premier event this year for showcasing young prospects.
The sale, scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 27, during the 2015 Tom Powers Triple Challenge Futurity, following the conclusion of the futurity’s featured event, the Sale Stakes Class.
Yearlings that go through the sale are micro-chipped and will be eligible to return for next year’s Sale Stakes Class. This year’s Sale Stakes Class has a total purse of $60,000. In addition, Harris Leather will give out the “Harris Challenge” award again this year: $3,000 to the Open winner if riding a Harris saddle and $1,000 to the Limited division rider if riding in a Harris saddle.
