In just its third year the Color on the Coast, Carolina Virginia Joint Show Series APHA Show has become a top destination for paint horse exhibitors. In its first year the show made it onto APHA top 20 list for number of entries, in year two they made it to the top ten on that list. With an increase of more than 25% over last year, entries could take this little show straight to the top 5, according to show officials. Some 300 plus stalls have been reserved this year and entries in excess of 700 have been recorded as of the end of day one. Show Co-Manager and Virginia Paint Horse Club President David Lands, says he is very proud of what they have accomplished in a short time “I see good things in the future of this show”.
New in 2014 is a dual split combined format under four judges for each show. Series one judges are Tom Robertson, Susan Stafford, Mike Hachtel, and Micheal Short. John Boxell, Sandy Curl, Brent Harnish, and Elizabeth Baker, will judge the second series.
