Rusty Green of Pilot Point, Texas, piloted Only A Breeze (Abby), a 2009 sorrel mare by Invitation Only and out of Zippin The Breeze, to a win in the class. Only A Breeze as bred by Kathryn Frederick of Ocala, Florida and is owned by Capital Quarter Horses LLC (Susan Roberts) of Whitesboro, Texas.
“Abby is a very natural mover no matter if your asking her to go slow or fast,” Green said. “She is a show mare that loves her job.”
The whole year has been loaded with success for Only A Breeze and Susan Roberts. They won the Western Pleasure at the AQHA Amateur Select World Show and the Select Western Pleasure at the Quarter Horse Congress. Next year Green and Roberts plan to get Abby qualified for the AQHA Select and Open World Shows and then she will go to the breeding farm to pull a couple of embryos.
