Online entries open for 2016 AjPHA Youth World Show

YWS16OnlineentryWith more than $165,000 offered in scholarships—available in every world championship class—the 2016 AjPHA Youth World Championship Show promises to be one to remember. Exhibitors can now enter online through our secure entry platform at apha.com/ywcs.

Submit your entries today

Almost everyone can use the online entry platform, but there are a few things to know in advance:

  • Credit card payment only.
  • Unlike the paper form, you will submit one online entry for each horse/exhibitor combination.
  • Stall and RV reservations will still need to be submitted via the paper form.
  • Those wishing to enter the following will need to submit traditional entry forms (available at apha.com/ywcs/forms; submit via mail, fax or email) for these particular classes/options:
  • Youth Team Tournament
  • Judging Contest
  • Stick Horse class
  • ACHA cutting classes
  • If you reside outside of the United States

We suggest you print out your online entry form before it’s submitted for your own records. After your online entry is submitted, you will receive a confirmation email as well as the traditional confirmation letter closer to the show.

Each horse entered will be assessed a one-time $45 administrative fee, regardless of the number of exhibitors or classes entered. APHA checks for duplicity before your credit card is charged. If your entry is eligible for the Flat Fee Discount, it will be applied to your account prior to credit card being processed.

Remember, to be eligible to earn Youth World Show scholarships, all horse transfers and show leases must be completed by March 1 of the competition year; exhibitors that transfer or lease their horses after March 1 but by 5 p.m. the day before they compete will be eligible to compete and win all class awards except scholarships.

Additional Recommendations

  • Online entry is simple and easy, though there are some differences from the traditional entry form.
  • Online entries should be submitted per horse/exhibitor combination; if you’re entering a horse with multiple exhibitors, never fear. Though the online entry system will automatically assess the administration fee for each submission, credit cards are not charged immediately. All entries will be reviewed and processed by APHA staff, and only one administration fee will be charged per horse.
  • Classes that offer multiple programs and awards such as the National Snaffle Bit Association will show multiple options for class entry. To enter a class with multiple options, select the single best choice for your needs. For example, an exhibitor only showing in Youth 14–18 Hunter Under Saddle would select YBH3, while an exhibitor who wants to be eligible for the NSBA dual-approved class in that division would select YBH3+NSBA.
  • There is a separate section of the entry form that must be completed to enter the Intermediate Exhibitor division for eligible classes, but no additional entry fee is required.

The Youth World Show has something for everyone with nearly 100 classes, more than $165,000 in scholarships, tons of great prizes, parties and lots of exhibitor recognition.
