Gather your lucky notepad and get your entries in for the 2016 Youth World Championship Judging Contest, taking place July 2 at the AjPHA Youth World Championship Show in Fort Worth, Texas, and co-hosted by AjPHA and the Appaloosa Horse Club. The contest is open to all Youth members of AjPHA or ApHC, including 4-H and FFA members.

Participants will be divided into two age divisions: 13 & Under and 14–18. Contestants will compete for a variety of prizes, including a $500 scholarship for the high-point individual in each category and Gist Silversmith belt buckles for the high-point team overall in each age division.
“It is so important to continuing the education and perpetuation of horse judges, as they are the future of the horse show industry,” Director of Youth Activities Christine Henry said. “We strive to put on a horse judging contest with high-quality classes, good prizes and recognition of those Youth who put so many hours and much time into studying their craft.”
