Continuing in the tradition of a premiere event, the Iowa Quarter Horse Association will host the Mayflower State Show in the climate-controlled Jacobsen Exhibition Center, at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines, Iowa  May 3-6, 2018. Along with a full show schedule, a fun-filled slate of activities and exhibitor perks will be part of this competitive atmosphere.

New this year, IQHA has teamed up with the American Buckskin Horse Association and the Roan Horse Association to offer more competitive opportunities to exhibitors. With close to $3,000 in cash prizes an all-breed Ranch Horse Rivalry will be Saturday night’s highlight in the Jacobsen Exhibition Center. With Saturday also being the running of the Kentucky Derby, IQHA is looking forward to bringing exhibitors together at the Kentucky Derby Party. All ages are encouraged to pack their best Derby Hat for the chance to earn a Mayflower prize.

The 4-day event will also host a Cinco de Mayo party, provide breakfast for the early risers, offer the opportunity to purchase baked goods, bid on a one-of-a-kind Mayflower basket and browse the vendor areas. Along with the fun-filled social events exhibitors will also benefit from the random drawings and added money classes throughout the show.
