Action continues in Tunica, Mississippi as the second annual Show For Dough completes its third day of competition, in Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, Trail, Western Riding, Showmanship and Horsemanship classes where contestants are earning 100 percent of the entry fees.

Show organizers Brad Jewett, Dave Dellin and Charles Cannizzaro say entries and stall rentals have doubled over last year’s show and are working hard to make visitors happy with gestures ranging from delivering shavings to stalls prior to arrivals and paying at the outgate.

On Thursday evening Jackie and Cathy Starnes sponsored pizza and drinks for dinner for all exhibitors to kick back and watch the 2014 NFL Draft on the big screen. It was a great way to relax after a busy day of showing.

“I truly believe in this show and what it stands for,” says said Hannah Huq, an open exhibitor.

Pilot Point, Texas trainer Dave Archer attended the first Show For Dough last year and he returned to show again this year.

“It’s a great show put on by great people,” he says. “This is my second year coming and I can’t wait to come back next year.”

Saturday will feature the show’s premier event – a 3-Year-Old $2,500 Limited Horse Western Pleasure Class.
