AQHA recently approved new all-around judges.
New all-around judges were recently approved by the American Quarter Horse Association Executive Committee.
Ten judge applicants were approved by the AQHA Judges Committee to take the AQHA all-around judges’ exam April 29-30 in Gainesville, Texas. Based on test scores and other criteria, the Judges Committee then approved a list of prospective new all-around judges, which were then reviewed and approved by the AQHA Executive Committee.
The newly approved AQHA all-around judges are:
- Mark Russell of Perry, Arkansas
- Valerie Kearns of Grayslake, Illinois
- Keith Miller of Reidsville, North Carolina
Eleven judge applicants took the European AQHA all-around judge’s exam in Grosswallstadt, Germany. The newly approved European AQHA all-around judges are:
- Eugenio Latorre of Italy
- Barry Schuurman of Netherlands
- Alexandra Jagfeld of Germany
- Nicolas Perrin of France
“AQHA judges are held to the highest quality of standards,” said Alex Ross, AQHA senior director of judges. “And by earning the title of AQHA judge, these individuals are helping to improve the quality of American Quarter Horse competition, as well as the welfare of registered horses at these events.”
