The first leg of the Premier Paint Sires 3-Year-Old Limited Horse, Limited Rider Western Pleasure is in the books and after all the judge’s scored were tallied it was Dustin Eickenhorst aboard Only After Midnight who was crowned the unanimous champion taking home a check for $10,000 for owner Jeffery Gibbs of Collinsville, Texas. The mare, sired by By Appointment Only and out of Danson Impulse, was started by Gibbs as a 2-year-old, but was a little small so Gibbs decided to hold her for her 3-year-old year.
“This was the first time that she has ever been shown,” Gibbs says. “I think she did a really nice job and so did Dustin. We will be showing at all three events this year.”
Up next for the second leg of the Premier Paint Sires is the Color on the Coast held at the Sen. Bob Martin Ag Center in Williamston, North Carolina July 16-19, 2015.
