Gumz, who was not able to make it to Wilmington in time to watch the class go, said when she learned her horse won she felt a combination of thrill and relief.

“It’s always great when you see a plan come together,” she said. “Aaron has done a great job with her and from everything I’ve been told, he really deserved this win.”

Gumz has always had total faith in Its A Pretty Thing.

“She had an amazing soft way of moving from the first time that I saw her,” Gumz said. “She had so much lift and such a great shoulder, I really couldn’t see anything else. Plus it never hurts when they are so easy on the eyes.”
