Excitement is mounting as trailers pull in to the Salt Lake County Equestrian Park in Salt Lake City for the first leg of the Premier Paint Sires 3-Year-Old Limited Horse, Limited Rider Western Pleasure and the new All Age Limited Horse, Open Rider Hunter Under Saddle sponsored by InStride Edition. The Hunter Under Saddle class will show this afternoon while the Western Pleasure class is scheduled for Saturday.
For the second year in a row the Western Regional Zone 2 Show and Utah Paint Horse Association Paint-O-Rama will host the first leg of competition and according to show management stalls are up to 390 from 320 last year.
Judges for the Zone 2 Show are April Devitt, Casey Devitt, Holly Hover, Chris Arnold, Don Beard and Chris Strine. Judges for the Paint-O-Rama are Scott Merritt, Jennifer Thompson, Ruth Ellen and Joe Carter. A full slate of APHA and Solid Paint Bred classes are featured in Open, Youth and Amateur divisions.
