Want to make a difference in the breed you love? Applications to become an APHA national director candidate are now open, and all interested APHA members are encouraged to apply. The application deadline is August 15.
APPLY NOW ONLINE
All APHA members in good standing are eligible to be nominated for the 2016 Director Election—elected directors now serve a three-year term, and all director positions are up for re-election this year.
Application is easy—simply complete and return the Individual Director Nominating Form. Members may nominate themselves, but the form requires signatures of five fellow APHA members from the same election area who endorse the nominee. APHA regional clubs received nomination forms via email on July 13 and are invited to submit candidates for consideration, too.
New for 2016, each nominee must provide APHA with a resume and photograph in order to be eligible for nomination to the Director Election; complete the biography form and upload your photo here. This information will help inform APHA members about nominees’ credentials.
Email completed director nomination forms to tbrown@apha.com or fax to 817-222-8470; printed forms may be mailed to:
Directors Nominating Committee
Attn: Theresa Brown
PO Box 961023
Fort Worth, TX 76161-0023
All nomination forms must be postmarked by August 15.
The APHA Director Nominating Committee will make the final decisions regarding nominees for each voting area. Make sure your membership is current as of September 1 to participate in the 2016 Director Election; online voting takes place September 15–October 15, and each member in good standing will receive an email with voting instructions. Results are announced December 1.
