This year at the APHA World Championship Show, intermediate exhibitors will have the opportunity to shine with additional awards in several divisions. Special awards will be presented to first and second place, and medallions will be awarded to the Top Five. Recipients will be named Intermediate World Show Champion and Intermediate World Show Reserve Champion. However, exhibitors must place in the top 15 final placings to be eligible for this special recognition.
“We are excited to expand our Intermediate exhibitor recognition offerings by adding Open and Amateur halter classes and Open performance classes to the already existing list of Amateur performance classes this year,” said Holly Slaughter, Senior Director of Show and Contest. “This division allows us to provide additional opportunities for recognition to another group of exhibitors that are excelling at the World Show.”
To enter the intermediate division, exhibitors must fill out a separate intermediate exhibitor entry form. There is no additional entry fee to enter the intermediate division. Exhibitors must declare they are eligible for the Intermediate Division by 5 p.m. the day before the class in order to be eligible for this special recognition.
