The 2019 APHA World Championship Show schedule of events is now posted at apha.com/oawcs/show-schedule. Some highlights of this year’s event—which takes place Sept. 16–29 in Fort Worth, Texas – include the following:
New Classes Offered
Ranch Rail Pleasure: Open, Amateur, Novice Amateur, Open Solid Paint-Bred, Amateur Solid Paint-Bred
Ranch Cutting: Open, Amateur, Novice Amateur (Regular Registry only)
• Note: Qualifying is waived for Ranch Cutting this year due to it being a new class (as of April 1, 2019) and announced after the qualifying deadline. If horses are to be shown in other world championship classes in addition to Ranch Cutting, they must qualify as per guidelines.
Ranch Riding – splitting into Junior & Senior events (taking place concurrently with the Sweepstakes class)
Reining Challenge – 7-year-old horses can now compete in the 4-, 5-, 6- & 7-Year-Old Reining Challenges (Open & Non-Pro)
• 4-, 5-, 6- & 7-Year-Old Reining Challenge (NRHA Levels 1–4) – $15,000 added
• Non-Pro 4-, 5-, 6- & 7-Year-Old Reining Challenge (NRHA Levels 1–4) – $15,000 added
2-Year-Old Longe Line: Open and Amateur (Regular Registry only)
Cowboy Mounted Shooting: (more details coming soon)
Timed Team Roping Sweepstakes: (more details coming soon)
New Intermediate Division Classes Added
Ranch Riding: Open, Amateur (Regular Registry only)

More Solid Paint-Bred Added-Money Opportunities
Solid Paint-Bred horses are eligible to compete in all non-pointed, non-world championship classes with Regular Registry Paints.
