AQHA stallion Tik Tock to stand at Pilot Knob Stud for 2025 breeding season

It was love at first sight for Scott Frye when he spotted Tik Tock among the yearlings at Capital Quarter Horses in Pilot Point, Texas. The 2020 bay roan stallion is out of the phenominal mare, WhatsCooknGoodLookin, and sired by The Rock who Frye co-owned with Waymond and Susie Roberts. With the passing of The Rock in 2017, Scott felt even more of a connection to the young colt and knew he had to be a part of his career.

Soon after the ink on the check was dry Frye got to working turning Tik Tock into a champion and success would come swiftly for the duo. In 2023 Frye partnered with Andy Cochran and together he and Tik Tock were crowned Congress Champions in the $2,500 Limited Horse Western Pleasure. They ended the year as the NSBA High Point Champions in the $2,500 Limited Horse Western Pleasure. The team followed that up with futurity wins in the Maturity $10,000 Limited Horse Open Western Pleasure at the 2024 Fun in the Sun Futurity in Venice, Florida and a Reserve Championship in the same class at The Madness in Wilmington, Ohio. Frye took the reins and showed Tik Tock to a Reserve Championship in the 4-Year-Old Limited Open Western Pleasure at The Sudden Impulse Futurity in Ocala.

“I am so thankful to Andy and Katie Cochran for their part in his successful show career,” Frye said. “Our goal is to stand him for the 2025 breeding season then return to the show pen.”

Tik Tock will stand the 2025 breeding season at Pilot Knob Stud in Reddick, Florida under the care of Mike Hay who also stood Tik Tock’s sire, The Rock. Tik Tock’s introductory breeding fee is $1,250 with considerations given to proven show and producing mares. Foals by Tik Tock will be eligible for the NSBA BCF and SIF, Southern Belle Breeders and the Super Sires programs.

“Tik Tock’s exceptional pedigree combined with his natural talent and gentle nature make him a stallion worth noting,” Frye said. “He is truly a testament to the industry’s leading performance horses.”
