One of AQHA’s Top 10 shows, the Region 6 Super 6 circuit got underway on Wednesday in West Springfield, Massachusetts. As of Thursday evening the show already saw 8,000 entries with over 200 trail runs and 185 in Showmanship classes.
“There are world class trail patterns here and great competition to prep for the big shows coming up like the NSBA World Show and the Congress,” said AQHA trainer Tami McAllister.
Pattern classes weren’t the only ones who saw huge numbers. Halter classes were also very large with drawing exhibitors from as far away as South Carolina. A full stallion division was offered including three in yearling stallions to help those get qualified for the World Show.
“The numbers here have been great and so has the competition, it’s a very well run show,” said AQHA Professional Horseman Jeffrey Pait. “I have a client that is originally from Boston, so it was nice for her to get to ‘come home’ for this show.”
