The American Quarter Horse Youth Association World Championship Show is the pinnacle event for American Quarter Horse exhibitors ages 18 and under around the world, who must qualify for the event by earning a predetermined number of points to compete in each of the classes representing halter, English and western disciplines. More than 2,500 entries from the United States, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Israel, Luxembourg, New Zealand and Venezuela are competing for 35 world championships at this year’s event, August 1-9 in Oklahoma City. Judges for this year’s event include Nancy Alto-Renfro, Trisha Armstrong, Elizabeth Baker, Leonard Berryhill, Don Boyd, Dave Brock, Dawn Casey, Ian Chisholm, Frank Craighead, Rusty Dare, Bill Enk, Buddy Fisher, Larry Hansch, Mike Hawkins, Owana Hutchens, Morgan Lybbert, Bill Kaven, Leslie Lange, Tom Neel, Jill Newcomb and Pat Taylor.
