After four long years of hard work and dedication AQHA competitor Ashley Frye of Galax, Virginia earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Radiologic Science from East Tennessee State University’s College of Clinical and Rehabilitative Health Sciences.

“This field interested me because I love helping people and I also love working with technology so the imaging part of healthcare is what I wanted to do,” Frye said.

Frye already has a job in her field as an x-ray technologist at two different hospitals. She plans to continue working this year and show her 2013 bay roan mare, A Lazy Lady, before going back to school next year to earn another degree to be a Radiation Therapist.

Ashley is the daughter of AQHA trainer Scott Frye, who owns and operates Frye Show Horses in Galax, Virginia. She has shown such notable horses as AQHA Stallion The Rock and 2015 AQHA Amateur Western Pleasure Level 2 World Champion, It’s A Good Pleasure.
