Courtney Chown of Fort Worth, Texas rode Chum Machine, a 2012 gelding by Machine Made and out of Radical Roxanne, to a win in the Non-Pro 3 & Over $7,500 Limited Horse Western Pleasure Class held Tuesday evening at A Little Futurity in Raleigh, North Carolina. The total purse for the class of 11 was $27,200.
“We bred him and I am very blessed to be able to show one we raised,” Chown says, “I had a really good ride. We have been getting better and better since the Virginia Classic.”
Chown collected a check for $9,248 for her victory.
Reserve Champion in the class went to She Sure Is Hot shown by Jessica Olsen Groome for Nettie Olsen of Delta, Ohio. Groome took home a check for $7,344 for her second place finish.
While final results were tallied there was a drawing for a Harris Work Saddle. Mark Katafiasz was named the winner and he was excited to win such an awesome prize.

Seventh: The Only Story, owned by Rick Beasley and shown by Madison Beasley
Eighth: Baby ImA Rockstar, owned by Garcia Quarter Horses and shown by Kerk Sanders
Ninth/Tenth: A Chrome Cookie, owned and shown by Alexandra Chavez; Huntin A Honky Tonk, owned and shown by Erena Lanza.
