Deanna Green and Blazinmytroublesaway take AQHA Youth World title in Western Riding

3F9A8423After two days, two goes and 79 entries it was Deanna Green aboard Blazinmytroublesaway who walked out of the Jim Norick Arena with the coveted AQHA Youth World Show golden globe tucked under her arm. Scoring an impressive 232the 16-year-old from Pilot Point, Texas was thrilled with the ride her 2007 palomino mare gave her.

“We’ve been practicing a mixture of all of my classes since I’ve been here to keep her mind off just changing leads. Today we came up and she warmed up awesome. I walked down the shoot and I asked the lord to follow me and he did,” Green says. “As soon as I loped off I could tell she wanted to be good and I just had to ride her through the whole pattern, I was so proud of her today.l

Green is no stranger to the winner’s circle as she won the same title just last year and was crowned the Reserve World Champion in the class in 2013. The Reserve World Championship went to Taylor Searles of Scottsdale, Arizona riding Al Be Sweet On You who scored a 230 in the finals. Third place honors went to Moa Berglund who traveled all the way from Sweden to show her gelding, Grey Asset to a score of 228.5.

Earlier in the day three additional World Champions were crowned in Yearling Fillies, 2-Year-Old Mares and 3-Year-Old Geldings. Monica Hamm of Phoenix, Arizona was awarded her second AQHA Youth World title this year showing her Yearling Filly, Shes Classyfied. Reserve was Lexie Lane of Canton, Georgia showing Sinceerly and third was Colton Kennedy of Bryan, Texas with Romantic Intentions.

3F9A8220In the 2-Year-Old Mares it was Shyanne Smith of Whitesboro, Texas who led She Signs The Checks by Self Employed and out of Kids Classy Clue to the World Championship. Reserve Champion was Cheers To Being Cool by Very Cool and out of Say Cheers shown by Kaylee Hamm of Phoenix, Arizona. Third place honors went to Paige Whacker of Hutchinson, Minnesota and Executee by Execute and out of Justa Obvious Secret

The last class of the morning was the 3-Year-Old Geldings and Shyanne Smith of Whitesboro, Texas claimed her second world title showing PF Supreme Kid by MH Supremo and out of Kids Securitee. The Reserve World Champion in this class of eight went to Ima Cool Catch by Very Cool and out of Moccas Finest Rose shown by Eli Ronk of Oakwood, Illinois. The bronze globe went to Lacey Jo Edge of Krum, Texas showing FG Ritzi Fella by Mr Yella Fella and out of FG Ritzi Image.

Following the finals this morning in the Jim Norick Arnena were the prelims of the Horsemanship in which 172 entries competed for a coveted spot in the top 20 who will return for the finals on August 4th. Other preliminaries were held today in the Performance Arena for Working Hunter, Equitation Over Fences and Jumping.
