Not only that, but Harley has won in every western riding division: junior, senior, amateur, Select and youth.

“We love the fact that Harley is both the winningest western riding horse, as well as a family horse,” said Stephanie Macejko, Breyer’s vice president of marketing and product development. “It shows the world what a truly extraordinary horse the American Quarter Horse is!”

The talented champion’s record boasts nearly 6,000 AQHA points, including 2,300 open western riding points. “AQHA has had its fair share of superstars over the past 75 years – those horses that for a period in our history capture our attention,” said AQHA President Johnny Trotter. “Harley D Zip is certainly one of those horses. Every time he stepped into the arena, not only did he turn in near-flawless performances, but he captivated audiences with his ability, his personality and his style. It is a great tribute to have Harley D Zip represent the American Quarter Horse industry like many others have as a Breyer model horse. I am certain this model will quickly become a best-seller, one that is collected by Breyer enthusiasts around the world.”

In 2012, Harley retired at the AQHA World Championship Show after competing in the amateur division in all-around events; he took home a world championship in senior western riding the year before. Harley now enjoys a comfortable retirement with the Papendicks at the family’s Highview Ranch.
