Huntin My Zipper named NSBA Horse of the Year

UntitledHuntin My Zipper, a 2010 gelding by Hubba Hubba Huntin and out of Ima Zipper Snipper was named the 2013 NSBA Horse of the Year. Owned and shown by Rebekah Kazakevicius of Ocala, Florida, Huntin My Zipper won not only many of the 3-Year-Old Non-Pro Hunter Under Saddle classes at most major futurities including A Little Futurity, The Tom Powers Futurity and The Reichert Celebration, he also showed his versatility by placing in several Western Pleasure classes as well.

 

“Growing up showing AQHA and NSBA, I have been extremely fortunate to have witnessed so many incredible horses receive Horse of the Year honor,” says Kazakevicius. “To have one of my own recognized for his accomplishments is truly an honor.”

 

Huntin My Zipper was also shown in Open Hunter Under Saddle events by Beth Case and Open Western Pleasure Events by Adam Smith to win the title. He was bred, raised, trained and shown by the  people at High Point Performance Horses including Jason Martin and Charlie Cole.

 

The NSBA Horse of the Year is is designed to represent the best in the history of the pleasure horse industry. Members are encouraged to nominate horses believed to be deserving of recognition as NSBA Horse of the Year. The NSBA Horse of the Year will be chosen each year based on NSBA participation, show record and points earned in that year. The award is a traveling trophy with a permanent award given to the previous years’ recipient.
