Ima Fancy Schmancy wins Non-Pro Western Longe Line at the Congress

NP LL WinnerRandy Haines, of Lima Ohio, showed Ima Fancy Schmancy to a win today in the Non-Pro Western Longe Line at the All American Quarter Horse Congress.

“She was as good as she has been all year,” Haines said after the results were announced. “I wanted her to peak at the Congress and she did. She showed here as good as she showed all year.”

Sired by Batt Man and out of Ima Fancy Version, Ima Fancy Schmancy has dominated the Longe Line classes this year. She won both the Open and Non-Pro Longe Line classes at the Tom Powers Futurity in June then followed that up with wins in both the Open and Non-Pro Western Longe Line at the National Snaffle Bit Association’s World Show in August. In addition, the bay filly won the Breeders Championship Futurity Open Western Longe Line there and placed third in the Non-Pro Western Longe Line.

A total of 19 horses showed in the Non-Pro division of the class. Stanley Scott, Ocala, Florida, was Reserve Champion with Loping In The Knight, sired by Lazy Loper and out of RL Suddens Maggie. The Non-Pro Hunter Longe Line shows tomorrow and the Open Western Longe Line will be featured on Monday.

Ima Fancy Schmancy comes from a family of Longe Line winners. Her dam, Ima Fancy Version won the Congress Open Western Longe Line in 2003. She also won the Open Western Longe Line at the Tom Powers Futurity that year and the NSBA Breeders Championship Futurity.

Haines, who along with his wife, Kimberly stand Batt Man, have been showing longe line contenders for several years now. Ima Fancy Schmancy is consigned to the Congress Super Sale, which will be held on Saturday, Oct. 18. She is lot #43.
