The Palomino Horse Breeders of America (PHBA) is pleased to announce that InStride Edition has been named the official publication of the 77-year-old organization founded to collect, record and preserve the purity of the blood and improve the breeding of Palomino horses.
A special section devoted exclusively to Palomino horses, owners, breeders and trainers will be featured prominently inside the pages of InStride Edition and will highlight news about the association; feature articles; and statistical data on the association and its horses, shows and members.
“PHBA is ecstatic with the new partnership between us and InStride Edition, to publish a section for PHBA, said PHBA President Vicki Parker. “This is something that our membership has been missing since the dissolve of the Palomino Horses Magazine.”
Founded in 2013, InStride Edition magazine is a leading monthly international print and digital magazine devoted to the stock horse show industry. Known for its thought-provoking writing and dynamic design, InStride Edition is well-respected in the industry and a favorite among advertisers because of the results it delivers. Every member of the InStride team has a college degree in areas ranging from Journalism to Equine Studies and from Marketing to Graphic Design. But more importantly they all have deep roots in the horse industry.
“We are honored to be trusted by the PHBA to promote the association, its members and horses,” said Executive Editor Corrine S. Borton. “As a member of the association and a Palomino owner myself, I am excited about its many innovative programs and look forward to working with officers and members to bring attention to the endless opportunities for Palomino owners.
The mission statement of the PHBA is:
- To record and preserve the pedigree of the Palomino Horse while maintaining the integrity of the breed.
- To provide beneficial services for its members which enhance and encourage Palomino ownership and participation.
- To generate growth of PHBA membership via the marketing, promotion, advertising and publicity of the Palomino Horse.
PHBA maintains records on more than 91,000 horses and owners, more than 250,000 horse show entries, and over two hundred horse shows. PHBA provides recreational, financial, and competitive rewards for every age group, extending more than 900 approved classes for Amateurs, Novice/Aamateur, Youth and Open programs. Classes range from Halter to Jumping, Horsemanship to Driving, Cutting to Saddle Seat, Pole Bending to Reining, and Barrel Racing.
Each July the association hosts its World Championship Show in Tunica, Mississippi, PHBA’s biggest event, with nearly 500 horses competing in World Championship Classes, futurities, and maturities. PHBA awards more than $100,000 in cash and prizes to equine athletes from all over the United States, Mexico and Canada.
