Jeff Long piloted Fullmoonouttonight, a 2011 brown geding by Only In The Monlite and out of Manygoodthingstocome, to a victory in the Hylton $10,000 added Green Western Pleasure class today at the North Carolina Quarter Horse Association District V “Endless Summer” AQHA Show in Williamston.
Long, of Siler City, North Carolina, takes home a $5,625 check for owners Richard and Elise Cognetti, Governor, New York.
Reserve Champion went to Taft Dickerson aboard Getting Pretty, owned by Donnie Dickerson, Mount Airy, North Carolina. They earned $4,375.
Third was Ez Renegade and Jake Hartman riding for Ellen Myers, Mocksville, North Carolina. The pair takes home $2,500 plus a free breeding to any stallion owned by class sponsor Cecilia Hylton, Gainesville, Virginia, for being the highest placing limited rider in the class.
Justin Kubiak placed fourth aboard Zippos Mystical Ace, owned by Paige Sistare, Lancaster, South Carolina.
Deborah Hewitt, of Jacksonville, North Carolina rounded out the class aboard Your Lasting Image.
The show, sanctioned by both the AQHA and the NCQHA will feature a full slate of Halter and Performance classes as well as added money 4-H classes in Hunter Under Saddle and Western Pleasure.
Judges for the Endless Summer Show are Rick Christy, John Tuckey and Gary Trubee.
