JT Thomas rides Sheza Dancin Machine to Premier Paint Sires Win

FB_JT_PPSNorthCarolinaWin2015JT Thomas rode Sheza Dancin Machine, a 2012 sorrel overo mare sired by CR Good Machine to a victory in the second leg of the  Premier Paint Sires 3-Year-Old Limited Horse Limited Rider Western Pleasure Class held Thursday evening at the Color On The Coast in Williamston, North Carolina.

Thomas collected a check for $10,000 for his victory as well as a custom saddle by JR Wenger and a Cowboy Bronze Trophy.

Callie Foster earned $3,000 for placing third in the class aboard Imagine Mea Hotrod, sired by Hesa Special Hotrod , plus an additional $1,250 for being the highest placing Non-Pro rider in the class.

Only 3-year-olds, sired by a stallion enrolled in the program are eligible to compete. Horses may not have earned more than $5,000 or 25 points prior to January 1oth of this year or have placed in the top three in any Western Pleasure class at the American Paint Horse Association World Championship Show. All of the exhibitors must be limited riders based on lifetime earnings and world show placings.

Thirteen 3-year-olds competed tonight for prize money totaling $25,000. Serving as judges for this leg of the event were Scott Suggs, Jodi Finkenbinder, Paul Thurston and Jeff Long .

Presented by InStride Edition, Premier Paint Sires was established to enhance the breeding prosperity of American Paint Horse Association registered stallions by creating an elite event that showcases the offspring of a limited group of distinguished color breed stallions. By giving exhibitors of all skill levels the opportunity to compete for a significant cash prize in three premier shows, Premier Paint Sires will create the incentive to improve the breeding potential of APHA stallions. Premier Paint Sires is committed to fostering goodwill for western pleasure within the industry as well as the outlying the community and is dedicated to promoting the future of the industry.

4th –$2,000 and CINCH gift certificates – #1541 – Only After Midnight. Owned by Jeffrey Gibbs. Exhibited by Dustin Eickenhorst. Sired by BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.

5th –$1,500 and $250 gift certificate from Kathy Williams Tail Extensions – #1544 – Quita Machine. Owned by Andrea Kegley. Exhibited by Kyle Kegley. Sired by FLEET MACHINE.

6th –$1,250 and Bottle of Equine Omega Complete – #1534 – Good At It. Owned by Joseph Brewer. Exhibited by Austin Gooding. Sired by CR GOOD MACHINE.

7th –$1,000 and Sweet Shop horse treats – #1518 – A Good Nooner. Owned by Brooke Ketchum. Exhibited by Marion Troyer. Sired by CR GOOD MACHINE.
