Last chance to qualify for the 2015 APHA World Show

wsqualifierfbThe 2015 APHA World Championship Show is coming up fast, and this weekend is your last chance to make sure your Paint is qualified to participate in the world’s premier Paint Horse competition. Remember, APHA World Show qualification is based only on a horse’s participation, never on points.

The qualification period for the APHA World Championship Show ends July 31. In order to qualify, most horses must participate in four separate events under eight different judges. Horses exempt from qualification include weanling and yearling halter horses, yearling longe line and yearling in-hand trail competitors, 2- and 3-year-old performance horses, 4-year-old speed event horses, and broodmares. This year, qualification requirements have been modified for horses competing in specialty disciplines, as well. Read the full requirements here. Check your horse’s qualification status here.

If you’re in Oklahoma or the surrounding areas, make sure to hit the World Wide Paint Congress and the Green Country Summer Show in Tulsa. With four separate events and 12 judges, these back-to-back events are a great opportunity for full qualification. If you’re lacking a portion of the qualification requirements, check out the following list of events to finish the job, or check out the online show calendar at aphaonline.org:
