Made N The Shade named NSBA’s 2017 Horse of the Year

Made N The Shade, a 2014 bay gelding owned by Natasha Blanchard of Lumberton, Texas has been named  the National Snaffle Bit Association’s 2017 Horse of the Year. The award is based on NSBA participation, show record and points earned in a year.

On his way to multiple championships throughout the year, Natasha Blanchard and trainers Rusty and Katie Green showed ‘Mikey’ in Western Pleasure events earning $40,560.99 and 78 points in NSBA competition.

Made N The Shade is sired by Machine Made and out of Mistys Version.

Natasha says she thinks Made N The Shade is successful in the pen because he is “big, beautiful and carries himself properly.”

She said they plan to hit all the major shows this year in an effort to get Made N The Shade qualified for the AQHA World Show in both Junior and Amateur Western Pleasure and will likely attend some big futurities as well.
