Iowa competitor Brooke Granzow knows what success looks like. She enjoyed plenty of it as a youth. So, in the fall of 2017, she enlisted the help of Richland Ranch trainer Drew DeBuhr for help in finding her a Western Pleasure show partner for Amateur and Non-Pro competition. Brooke was now in college – with sights on becoming a sports medicine veterinarian – so she wanted to focus on futurities, allowing her the necessary time for her studies. Whata Moonlite Ride was the perfect choice. His Reserve Congress win in the 2-Year-Old Non-Pro Western Pleasure with Liz Long, set thing up perfectly for Brooke to focus on 3-Year-Old Non-Pro Western Pleasure classes the next year. Then, when she was not even looking, Darksyde Ofthemoon came along and she not just showing in the 3-year-old classes but the 2-Year-Old futurities as well. Read all about Brooke’s journey in the May issue of InStride Edition. This month we also bring you an interesting look at taking show horses out of retirement and back into competition. We also tell you how you and look like a million bucks in the show pen on a shoestring. This and much more inside the May issue of InStride Edition.
