NSBA Reserve World Champion Heres To The Blue to stand at Pilot Knob Stud in 2025

The time has come for Heres To The Blue (aka Baby Stallion) to begin his breeding career and for owner Tali Terlizzi there is know better place for him to do that than close to home at Pilot Knob Stud in Reddick, Florida.

“Being in the breeding industry with my mares I deal with a bunch of different breeding farms and ordering collections from Stallions, so I was super picky when I started looking for the perfect fit for where I wanted Baby Stallion to go,” Terlizzi recalls. “I chose Pilot Knob for several reasons, not only is it 10 minutes away from where I live, but they run a tight ship and are so organized. They make it easy for me to just enjoy being a stallion owner and for me that means everything. The care for the horses is amazing and a huge plus is I can run over and see him anytime I want. I’m so excited to work with Mike and Jan, they’re so welcoming and professional and have all their ducks in a row, I am proud to be a part of their team and happy to welcome them to ours!”

No stranger to the show pen, Heres To The Blue has amassed quite a show record before heading to the breeding shed. In 2022 he was crowned the NSBA Reserve World Champion in the 2-Year-Old Open Hunter Under Saddle. This year he claimed Reserve Championships at The Fun In The Sun Futurity as well as the $50,000 3-Year-Old & Over Hunter Under Saddle at the March To The Arch. He followed that up by winning a bronze in the 3 & Over Limited Horse Open Hunter Under Saddle at The Sudden Impulse Futurity followed by a Championship in the Novice Horse Hunter Under Saddle at the Virginia Spring Breakout circuit, home of the Virginia Maiden. In August he collect another bronze trophy in the Green Hunter Under Saddle at the NSBA World Show and placed third in the Breeders Championship Futurity 4 to 6-Year-Old Open Hunter Under Saddle.

At 17.2 the bay stallion by Good I Will Be and out of The First Ride will undoubtedly continue to make his mark on the industry through his offspring.

“He has the size, mind and movement to change the breeding industry. His pedigree alone would be beneficial to any more that breeds to him,” Terlizzi said. “Good I Will Be needs no introduction, and his Dam, The First Ride, is a 100% producer. Every one of her offspring has won a World or Congress Championship title. I truly believe he will be an extraordinary producer.”

Heres To The Blue will be enrolled in all major programs including The Super Sires, the NSBA BCF and SIF programs as well as Premier Sires. His stud fee will be $2,000 with special considerations given to World or Congress Champion mares as well as World or Congress Champion producing mares.
