NYATT to add Hunt Seat Equitation to 2016 Congress

The All American Quarter Horse Congress (AAHQC) is announcing the addition of Hunt Seat Equitation to the National Youth Activity Team Tournament (NYATT) competition during the AAQHC in October 2016.

The NYATT is the most popular youth event at the All American Quarter Horse Congress. State and regional Quarter Horse Associations across the U.S. and Canada form teams consisting of at least four youth that compete in Barrel Racing, Horsemanship, Hunt Seat Equitation, Hunter Under Saddle, Reining, Showmanship and Western Pleasure.

The addition of Hunt Seat Equitation will allow participating teams to have two more exhibitors compete per team.
According to the NYATT Coordinator, Kelsey Grose, the Hunt Seat Equitation class will be on the same day as the other NYATT classes and will not conflict with any other youth events at the AAQHC.

In addition to earning points for each youth’s state, all exhibitors are awarded with a NYATT commemorative belt buckle and individual Top Ten placings receive AAQHC medallions and Champions are awarded with an AAQHC bronze trophy.
