Palomino awards Youth Golden Horse, High-Point awards

The Palomino Horse Breeders of America announced the Golden Horse, High Point winners and the recipient of the Max Eisenberg Memorial Sportsmanship Award at the conclusion of this year’s Youth World Show on Sunday, July 11.

“While final tabulations are not complete, I can say that entries are way up over past years,” said PHBA General Manager Terri Green.

The association holds its World Championship Show in Springfield, Illinois and action started on Thursday, July 8 with classes for Challenged Riders. Open and Amateur World Show competition got underway on Monday and continue through Saturday, July 17.

Youth World Show Honors include:

Youth 14-18 Golden Horse (World Championship Saddle): Shez Sleepy Too and Ely Joe Taylor, Stephenville, Texas.

Youth 14-18 Reserve Golden Horse (Trophy Buckle): Hez Invested In Gold and Caroline Cleveland, Denton, Texas.

Youth 13 & Under Golden Horse (World Championship Saddle): Little Outlaw Jac and Jada Casto, Millstadt, Illinois.

Youth 13 & Under Reserve Golden Horse (Trophy Buckle): Golden King Of Bling and CJ Kirkland, Bunker, Missouri.

Youth Walk-Trot 10-18 Golden Horse (Trophy Buckle): Never Outta Style and Katherine Cleveland, Denton, Texas.

Youth Walk-Trot 10-18 Reserve Golden Horse (Headstall): Shesgot Great Legs and Macey Koehler, Appleton, Wisconsin.

Youth Walk-Trot 5-9 Golden Horse (Trophy Buckle): Flash Me A Gold Chip and Ella Miller, Bargersville, Indiana.

Youth Walk-Trot 5-9 Reserve Golden Horse (Headstall): Chexoutmy Connection and Caleb Heinz, Greenfield, Iowa.

Youth Reserve High Point Palomino Bred (Embroidered Sheet): MWS My Kinda Therapy and Creek Plemons, Crawford, Indiana.

Novice Youth Golden Horse (World Championship Saddle): Surenuffskippin and Jenna Mendez, El Paso, Texas.

Novice Youth Reserve Golden Horse (Headstall): Bums Away and Delanie Paschal, Reidsville, North Carolina.

Youth High Point Palomino Bred (Headstall): Zip Me Plenty Good and Baylee Runyon, Springfield, Illinois.

Max Eisenberg Memorial Sportsmanship Award: Reese Penny, Glenwood, Iowa.
