The horse community is sending up prayers for AQHA Professional Horseman Gene Parker, owner and operator of Parker Quarter Horses in Orrum, North Carolina, who suffered a heart attack on Monday, at the American Paint Horse Association World Championship Show, in Fort Worth, Texas.
For over 30 years, Parker has been breeding, training and showing AQHA World and Congress halter and performance horses. He has coached Youth and Non-Pro riders and halter handlers to AQHA World and Congress Champions. Parker also runs a successful breeding operation at his farm in Southeastern North Carolina.
