InStride Edition has introduced a new contest for horse-loving Pokémon trainers of all ages.

Since its launch on July 6, Niantic’s mobile game, Pokémon Go, has attracted a record 21 million daily users in the United States alone. No doubt our equine friends are among the players.

To be eligible to participate in the InStride Edition Pokémon Contest, players must take a screenshot of any Pokémon that in some way includes their favorite equine partner. Find an adorable Abra in your mare’s mane? A mean ole Machoke in the muck bucket? An elusive Electabuzz on your English saddle? Snap a picture on your phone and send it to InStride Edition.

Each day on our website we will feature pictures you submitted and at the end of the contest InStride Edition will be awarding prizes – like iTunes gift cards, Google Play Store gift credits – for the cutest, most creative, most rare “horsey” Pokémon picture.

A special grand prize for readers who capture any of the “horsey” Pokémon – Ponyta, Rapidash or Horsea in a screenshot with their own horse.

“We are so pleased to offer this new and fun way for our readers to get outside and enjoy nature and their horses,” said InStride Edition Publisher Brad Borton. “We are expecting to see a lot of creative photographs and can’t wait to share them with our readers.”

The contest officially begins on Monday, Aug. 1, and will run through Aug. 30. Winners will be announced on Sept. 1.
