VickeryTrail guru Tim Kimura outdid himself with the creation of the Junior and Senior Trail final patterns at the AQHA World Championship Show going on all week in Oklahoma City. Both courses had tight turns, lots of transitions, raised poles and a lot of decorations throughout the pattern.

Seventeen exhibitors with a score of 220.5 or higher came back to the Junior Trail finals. Judges for the finals were Kelly McDowal, John Dean, Mike Hay, Bob Kail and Sissy Anderson. Breaking an arena record in the Junior Trail finals with a score of 238.5 and bringing home the gold globe was Bruce Vickery riding Signature Absolute (aka Slate) for owner Nancy Riggs, Foothill Ranch, California.

“This course was perfect for Slate, he can stay tight in his turn and transitions and that’s exactly how you had to ride this course.’ Vickery said.

WeissRiggs picked Slate out as a yearling and knew from the beginning he was a special horse. Next year she will team with Signature Absolute to compete in Novice Amateur Trail. Reserve World Champion with a score of 230.5 was Blake Weis riding Snap Krackle Pop for owner Twylla Brown, Perry, Missouri.
