With the bright lights of Las Vegas as the perfect backdrop, the Silver Dollar Circuit once again welcomed competitors to the South Point Hotel and Casino.
Running from Feb. 23-28, the Silver Dollar Circuit boasts a full schedule of AQHA classes as well as a select group of NSBA Futurity Classes.
According to show management numbers were up across the board thanks in part to the change of dates to the Arizona Sun Circuit which will follow this event in Scottsdale, Arizona. This welcome change allowed competitors to come from as far away as New Hampshire with the promise of two separate shows at two beautiful facilities.
“I definitely think the change of dates has helped. It’s a long haul for me, about 2,400 miles. To be able to come for two big shows and two totally different venues makes it worth it,” said AQHA trainer Torey Roderick. “I had a full trailer coming out but only two were mine so I felt I could really do a good job with them but also do some sightseeing and explore the city. It was like a reconnaissance mission.”
Along with the positive feedback from exhibitors, the vendors alike are praising the show as not only good for business, but a great way to mix in a little fun along with it.
“The show has been great. This is the first year I have ever come to it and I will definitely be back,” said Debbie Hodde, owner of Winning Couture. “Business has been good and I’ve gotten to see a lot of people. It also doesn’t hurt that my horse came this year too.”
Judge’s for this year’s event include, John Briggs, Kelly Chapman, Buddy Fisher, Curtis Reynolds, Mike Hay, Bradley Leubben, Lisa Ligon, Brent Maxwell, Steve Meadows, Jonathan Meilleur, Becky Schooler, Bruce Walquist.
Classes conclude today and exhibitors will make the 300 mile journey over to Scottsdale for the Arizona Sun Circuit. Results from the Silver Dollar Circuit can be found by Clicking Here.
