While the temperatures climbed into the 100s in Conyers, Georgia exhibitors braved the heat to show at one of the largest shows of the year. Held annually over the 4th of July the show series boasts 10 days of AQHA shows and features special events for Hunter and Trail exhibitors. With close to 1,000 stalls sold the largest class, Senior Trail, saw 90 entries and many rail classes were split. Exhibitors were thrilled with the numbers even if it meant soaking through a shirt or two.
“I haven’t been to the Big A in a few years,” Patty Sweisberger said. “It is even bigger and better than before. It is one of the most exhibitor friendly shows around, everyone is smiling and having fun which is what horse showing is all about to me!”
As the Stars and Stripes Circuit came to a close even more exhibitors pulled in for the start of the Big A. This year the addition of the Show For Dough and Premiere Quarter Sires futurity classes will offer the chance to win some big checks. You can find out more about these classes at www.premierequartersires.com.
The judges for this year’s event include Brent Tincher, Murray Griggs, Judd Paul, Jill Newcomb, Bruce Brown, Karen Banister, Jeff Greaves, Beckey Schooler, Kelley Stone, Will Knabenshue, Lisa Ligon, Tanya Green, Scott Dehelian, Woody Dykers, GiGi Bailey, Tina Anderson, Rick Christy, Chris Arentsen & Ronnie Casper.
