InStride Edition columnist Dr. Tanis MacDonald Walker DVM and her husband, Rob, welcomed a daughter, on Sept. 19. The new arrival, named Katherine Frances Walker, weighed in at 8 pounds and was 21 inches at birth. She is the first child for the couple who reside in Greenwood, Delaware. Dr. Tanis graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College on Prince Edward Island and currently practices both small animal emergency and equine medicine in Delaware. A longtime AQHA and NSBA competitor, she is the veterinarian columnist for InStride Edition, writing on a variety of health-related topics. She also pens her own blog (DrTanis.com). Rob works for the Sussex County Emergency medical service and produces KROB, an online internet radio station (www.KROB.com).
