The Madness kicked off Wednesday with huge numbers in Wilmington, Ohio. The show began with western pattern events and will continue throughout the weekend with a full slate of AQHA and select NSBA classes.

The show’s two featured classes are the 3-Year-Old and Over Novice Horse Western Pleasure which will take place Friday May 18 and will award $15,000 to the winner as well as $1,000 to both the Intermediate and Limited Champions. The main event is the 3-Year-Old and Over Maiden Horse Slot class which will be held Saturday May 19. Horses in this class must be shown for the first time and another $15,000 will be awarded to the winner and another $1,000 to the Limited and Intermediate winners. New this year are two slot classes for Trail competitors. The Super Sires Non-Pro 4 & 5-Year-Old Trail will award $5,000 to the winner and will be held Saturday May 18 and the Southern Ohio 4 & Over Open Trail Slot.
