TheCrowdJoesWild purchased by Veronica Roth; standing in Virginia

Thecrowdjoeswild_1.jpgTheCrowdJoesWild, a 2007 palomino stallion by Congress Champion Hot Diggity Joe and out of A Golden Dimension (by Reserve AQHA World Champion Invested Dimension), has a new home in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Veronica Roth completed the purchase of the young sire, registered with both the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) and Palomino Horse Breeders of America (PHBA), in October from Wayne and Deborah Bush of Hickory Hill Farm, Alabaster, Alabama.

“I have always been a big fan of Hot Diggity Joe and have followed ‘Gabe’ for the past few years,” Roth said. “I have admired what he brings to the table.  We have been looking for a stallion for a few years now, but just recently got very serious about it.”

Kerry Bradac, who owns Hot Diggity Joe, told Roth that Gabe may be on the market.

“I contacted Wayne and Deborah Bush, who were looking to retire from standing a stallion,” Roth said. “Everything fell into place very smoothly from there.”

Gabe was injured as a 2-year-old and was unshown. His first foals arrived in 2010 and out of a limited crop he already has a Reserve Tom Powers Futurity Campion, American Buckskin Registry Association (ABRA) World Champion and Reserve World champions in both the PHBA and National Snaffle Bit Association (NSBA). In all, Gabe’s foals have recorded numerous futurity wins and over $19,000 in NSBA earnings.

“We are very excited about this opportunity,” Roth said. “We believe that Gabe is an amazing stallion. He has a big reputation for being a good, gentle horse and he passes that to his babies.”

She believes he has a lot to offer mare owners looking to produce quality show horses.

“Gabe’s offspring have a reputation for being very trainable, easy to handle, good minded and great movers,” she said. “With the added bonus of the color he throws we believe that this gives the mare owners a bigger opportunity in which to show and market their foals.”

“We will be expanding to include a third barn and an indoor arena,” Roth said.

Live cover will be provided at the farm, as will shipped semen, and Roth will be looking into frozen semen for export.

“There has been a huge interest from the European and Australian market,” she said.

TheCrowdJoesWild is enrolled in NSBA Breeders Championship Futurity (BCF), PHBA’s Palomino Incemtive Program (PIP), and Roth is currently exploring additional state and futurity programs.  His 2017 stud fee is $750 plus shipping which includes a $300 booking fee.

TheCrowdJoesWild has been tested and is negative for HERDA, GBED, PSSM, LWO and HYPP (No Impressive in his pedigree) and he is also Heterozygous Agouti 1.
