Winnies Willy humanely euthanized after battle with laminitis

AQHA stallion Winnies Willy was humanely euthanized today due to ongoing issues with laminitis, according to stallion manager Debbi Trubee.

The 2004 by stallion by Willy Be Invited and out of the great producing mare Winnie The Tiger. He was purchased as a 2-year-old by Deborah Cook and shown by Trubee to a Superior in Western Pleasure and multiple circuit championships. He stood at North Farm in Ohio.

His offspring have earned National Snaffle Bit Association World Championship and Congress Championship titles in Performance Halter, Trail and Western Pleasure and Hunter Under Saddle. He also sired an APHA World Champion and ApHC Reserve World Champion.

“Willy couldn’t have asked for a better circle of people to care for him and guide him through his career and to ultimately let him go,” Trubee said. “He was loved.
