Dustin Eickenhorst rides Only After Midnight to second PPS win this year

FB_MGL6848Dustin Eickenhorst and Only After Midnight claimed the final leg of the Premier Paint Sires 3-Year-Old Limited Horse Limited Rider Western Pleasure Class in Madison, Wisconsin, bringing to a close the 2015 competition year. Only After Midnight, is sired by By Appointment Only and out of A White Rose. She is owned by Jeffrey Gibbs, of Collinsville, Texas Tonight’s win was worth $10,000 in prize money plus a custom saddle by JR Wenger and a beautiful Cowboy Bronze trophy.

 

Reserve Champion in the class of 18 was So Good, owned by Renee Conklin and exhibited by Wade Spell, of St. Louis, Missouri. So Good, sired by CR Good Machine and out of GT Five Hundred, took home $4,500. They also won the random drawing for a saddle from JR Wenger Custom Saddles.

 

FB_MGL6826Premier Paint Sires also awards a $10,000 bonus to the highest placing horse in all three legs of the 3-Year-Old Limited Horse Limited Rider Western Pleasure Class, presented by InStride Edition. This year there was a tie between Only After Midnight and So Good. They split the bonus with each receiving and additional $5,000.

  • WiniBottle of Equine Omega Complete – Carmelle Glew showing Special Appearance for Joe and Sheryl Biondahl.

 

  • Premier Paint Sires award cooler – Peter Nevel showing Mystery Machine for Emily Wilson.

 

  • Cinch gift certificates – Troy Moon showing Fanciful Farrah for Sandra Quinn

Eickenhorst and Only After Midnight got the 2015 show year off to a strong start in Salt Lake City, Utah over Memorial Day weekend. They took home a check for $10,000, a custom saddle by JR Wenger and a Cowboy Bronze saddle.

 

In the second leg of competition, held in Williamston, North Carolina in July, JT Thomas rode Sheza Dancin Machine, a 2012 sorrel overo mare sired by CR Good Machine to victory collecting $10,000, a custom saddle by JR Wenger and a Cowboy Bronze Trophy.
