AQHA Central Level 1 Show opens in Oklahoma

Exhibitors at the AQHA Central Level 1 Championships saddled up their American Quarter Horses on April 10 for the opening day of competition at State Fair Park in Oklahoma City. The show kicked off at 8 a.m. with the Rookie youth ranch riding in the Jim Norick Arena and Rookie youth working hunter in the Performance Arena.

The AQHA Central, running April 10-13, features walk-trot, Rookie and Level 1 classes; these three levels of AQHA competition are designed for everyone from the beginner to the minimally accomplished competitors, respectively.

The show offers a variety of events and activities for competitors, friends, family and spectators to take part in throughout the show. Free Ride the Pattern clinics taught by AQHA Professional Horsemen and an educational seminar on equine nutrition are also featured during the show.
