What’s even more impressive is he did it after spending a few days in the hospital with an infection.

“Going into the game I felt very weak, a little sick and I was already very fatigued; but as the game got going my adrenaline kicked in and I started feeling better,” Chase says.

During the game he completed 28-of-39 passes for 306 yards and his 40th touchdown of the season and 70th of his career in the team’s 30-13 victory over Roswell. In addition Chase set several school records including most passing yards (3,501) and most passing touchdowns (40).

Always a quarterback, Chase first started playing football for the local YMCA at the age of 5.

“I spent a lot of time watching football with my dad and brother growing up,” Chase says. “We all really loved it and when I started playing, I really got into it. My dad really sparked a fire in me to go for it.”

For his parents, AQHA trainers Bret and Candy Parrish, the past two years of Chase’s career have been a “sweet ride”.

12373313_1036310389766691_7148993738610586996_n“We got to watch Chase from the stands do what he loves and we are so proud of his accomplishments and his leadership of the Packers both on and off the field.  I’ve been really calm and confidant Chase’s whole career but this game was different,” Candy Parrish says. “We are so proud of Chase and how he fought through.  He was determined.  Two undefeated seasons (30 – 0) and back to back State Championships; this is a once in a lifetime experience and we are blessed to have been able to experience this feat with Chase.”

With his high school career behind him Chase is looking toward the future and making plans for college. Though several schools have expressed interest in the young quarterback, he hasn’t committed to any one just yet.

“I plan to play college football, while getting a business degree so I can start my own business,” Chase says. “I will weigh all my options and make the best decision I can.
