For the next 10 days the James B Hunt Horse Complex in Raleigh, North Carolina will be home to some of the country’s biggest names in the horse industry. In its 11th year the Tar Heel Triple Classic draws huge numbers from as far away as Texas and Oklahoma and marks the official beginning of the 2015 futurity season. Highlights for the show include a 3 & 4-Year-Old Novice Horse Western Pleasure, a $7,500 Limited Horse Non-Pro Western Pleasure and the new Heart of Stone Western Pleasure. Judges for this year’s event are: for the NCQHYA Show (June 11-14): Stephanie Lynn, Steve Heckaman, Karen Watters, Buddy Fisher, Bob Johnson and Steve Lackey for Fence and Cattle Classes; for A Little Futurity (June 14-17): Karen Watters, Buddy Fisher, Bruce Walquist, Scott Neuman, Robin Frid and Carla Wennberg; for the NCQHA Jamboree (June 17-20): Tom Robertson, Pam Scott, Robin Frid, Brent Maxwell, Jennifer Leckey, Brad Gibby, Jim Isley and Bonnie Miller for Cattle Classes.
