Zippos Sensation Passes

13620306_10209996505967899_7310603618128699509_nTop American Paint Horse Association stallion Zippos Sensation passed away July 10, 2016 at the age of 23.

“I am so proud to have been a part of the most incredible journey with the most amazing horse,” Andrea Simons said on her Facebook page. “I am so grateful to everyone that loved him and shared in his success, he will be missed.”

Zippos Sensation was a 1993 sorrel overo stallion by Zippo Pine Bar and out of Satin N Lace.  He was a a World Champion performer, multiple World Champion sire and the only APHA horse ever inducted into the NSBA Hall of Fame.

‘Zippo’ sired his first World Champion from his first foal crop in 1998 in the 2-Year-Old Western Pleasure, Brightly Zippo. Since then, his foals have dominated APHA and all breed events alike. His progeny shot ‘Zippo’ to the top of countless charts. He reigned as APHA’s leading Breeder’s Trust sire for 12 consecutive years. He is also a million-dollar NSBA sire by foal earnings.
